We believe that people in developing countries know best what problems they have and know best how to approach solving them. With PATHWAYS, we choose promising secondary school graduates in developing countries who have written an insightful and practical project idea about how to make life better in their own country. PATHWAYS then assists them with university expenses and matches them with mentors (both in country and foreign experts).

The role of the mentors is to:

- Assist them in carrying out their project idea

- Offer leadership training

- Help with school work when needed

- Work to transition them into their career where they can continue working to improve their country upon graduation

PATHWAYS students should be well equipped to be leaders for tomorrow.
